The GRE is organised by ETS and is generally preferred by the students who want to pursue MS Studies or a degree from a foreign college or university. It is held multiple times each year. The candidates can take this test from any nation that has internet connectivity and availability of computer systems and technologies. It is the most common way of appearing for the General GRE Exam. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Paper-based GRE Exam is generally held at a designated GRE testing centre in places where the internet connectivity is not robust enough or has limited options for computer technologies. It is a pen-paper test, but the students in India do not have the option to give a paper-based GRE test. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Home-based GRE tests were introduced during the pandemic to ensure the maximum safety of the students. The candidates need to ensure that the system requirements set by ETS are met and that the environment while appearing for the exam remains good enough throughout the exam duration. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Candidates should be aware that the GRE Subject-wise Test applies only to the subjects like Psychology, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics. Subjects like Biochemistry, Biology, etc., are no longer available for the GRE subject-wise tests. It is a paper-based exam organised thrice every year in April, September, and October.
